For parents, grandparents, carers, home-workers, and anyone who wants a working knowledge of first aid for home environments — from responding to a child's fall to handling a burn in the kitchen. No prior first-aid training or professional background required.

  • Assess a home incident scene and prioritise safely
  • Perform CPR on an adult casualty
  • Respond to choking, in adults and children
  • Manage bleeding, burns, and minor injuries you might encounter at home
  • Recognise and respond to common medical incidents including asthma attacks and diabetic emergencies
  • Know when to call 999 and how to hand over to emergency services

Outcomes

On completion you'll have practical confidence to respond to common household first-aid situations for yourself and your family, and clear understanding of when and how to escalate to emergency services.
